Descending (Rising #2) Review

Hi everyone!

This year start it with great books. Descending is my second book for my 2016 Book Challenge and I’m so happy with my selections so far. Last year I read Rising the first book to this series and I was so excited to read this book. I knew that it was not going to be all about Sara and Xanthus relationship before I start it reading it. And that had me worried but let me tell you, I’m OK with their participation on the book.  This book is more about Xanthus best friend and Sara’s best friend Kyros and Gretchen.

Kyros is call by Xanthus so he can help him on a mission on land, where Xanthus and Sara are now living. As you can remember all dagonians hate humans as well as Mermaids and Kyros is not the exception to this.  But because he is a good friend he is willing to sacrifice his tail while he’s on dry land and walk on human legs.  Now this is something I’m not sure how it happened.  The team of dagonian are given their legs to walk on dry land but in this book Triton is missing, so I don’t know how the dagonians got their legs.  I think I’m going to ask Holly Kelly  LOL!!

I love the villain in this book because she’s pure evil!!!!!! and you won’t like her at all. You might try to understand why she is so evil but the only explanation is that she’s evil and always we’ll be evil. There’s no way to turn her to the good side.  I think Gretchen would be a great Lawyer and I bet she could win every single case she puts her voice in to LOL!!  Gretchen is more aggressive and outgoing than Sara but that’s just a front that she puts so no one get to her. This book is more about Kyros  but I still think Xanthus is the hero and the hot one LOL!!

I told Yashira that because I’m Pisces I might be a mermaid and I don’t know it yet LOL!!! But if I’m one I’ll be as bad as Sara is when she swims and I’ll keep eating human food no matter what.  I can’t wait to read the last book. I need to know what happened to Triton and what’s wrong with Sara’s mom.  I hope Avenging is as good as the first and second book.

I give this book 5 out of 5

This is the first book I read in 2016 and I’m  really happy I did because I love it!!!  Descending is book 2 of the Rising series. This book is more about the story of Gretchen and Kyros, but don’t worry Xanthus and Sara are still an important part of book.

We met Gretchen in the first book and she is Sara best friend, she is also really outspoken and is aiming to become a lawyer. Sara’s and Gretchen have a really special connection bigger than just being  friends. Kyros is Xanthus best friend and he despise humans because of something that happened really close to his heart.

Everything started when Xanthus needed a favor and he asked Kyro and five other dagonians, which by the way, they are all special part of the book and also funny.  I found really funny the way they hated to human food 😝, also the reaction to the new human bodies they have. As much as Kyro hate humans he could not stop thinking about Gretchen since they met. They as Xanthus and Sara did have a special connection, even tho Kyro tried to fight it.  I have to say that Kyro had it harder than Xanthus when it came the time to fight for his love.  The evil character of this book is really, really, really Evil!!! ( you will hate her).  Prepare yourself to be blown away with lots of secrets coming out. By the end of the book you will be like “I need to read more!” but don’t worry there is a third book.
